Timelapse for Beginners (Part 2) with Boston Photography Workshops

Class Description:
-Tuition: $250
-Class size: 6
-Two part class: Online (1.5 hours); In-Person (5.5 hours with lunch break)
-Skill Level: Intermediate; Digital Cameras I, Digital Cameras II, Better Composition Photo Walk, and/or Lightroom Classic 1 recommended
-Requirements: DSLR, mirrorless, adv. point & shoot with “manual” mode, spare battery, tripod, laptop computer, Adobe Lightroom Classic, intervalometer, time-lapse software

Learning to make time-lapses can be broken down into two segments: “capture” and “post-production”. Both elements are detail-oriented but offer tremendous creative rewards. In this workshop, students will be guided through both aspects with in-person, hands-on, as well as remote learning tools. You’ll finish with critically important experience and technical know-how.

This class is broken up into two parts:
—Online learning: students will meet online for an important introduction to the steps that comprise the time-lapse photography process

—In-Person learning: The class will meet at our studio and after brief introductions, we’ll begin by reviewing the essential steps and helping students prepare their cameras and tripods. The group will then depart for a nearby location in and around the Seaport area to capture a time-lapse scene.After a brief lunch break, we'll review the necessary steps to organize image files, then begin using software to process the images into time-lapses.
