"Third Thursdays" in July presents a convening of masterful improvisers, where the audience is invited to get an earful of the unpredictable with Stephen Haynes, Eric Barber, Kit Demos, Curt Newton and the monthly "Third Thursdays" series host Dave Bryant.
For July's occasion, Bryant notes that: "This particular combination of experienced and thoughtful improvisers includes some long-running creative relationships, but also some new and unfamiliar pairings. We should be prepared to have sparks fly and friendships initiated and cemented!"
Admission at the door: $10 (cash/check/charge/venmo). Complimentary “Third Thursdays” concert parking is available at the Everett Street Garage at 10 Everett Street in Cambridge. [Just mention that you are attending a "Third Thursdays" event.]

Dave Bryant has been hosting these monthly "Third Thursdays" jazz gatherings since April of 2022. This past May, "Third Thursdays" concert showcased the release of Bryant's Wire and Bone album. All of the Wire and Bone performers were in attendance, joining Bryant in an extremely energetic evening with Jamaaladeen Tacuma (bass), George Garzone (tenor saxophone), Kenny Wessel (guitar), Eric Hofbauer (guitar), and Chris Bowman (drums). Access to the Wire and Bone album is now readily available at davebryant.bandcamp.com.
Bryant's "Third Thursdays" monthly schedule for August into early Fall will be made available by later in July. These harmolodic jazz concerts are made possible by the generous support of the Appalachian Springs Foundation.
Thus far, the monthly performances and interviews have all been video recorded, with the goal being for this documentation to be made available to all who are interested in exploring further the huge impact that Ornette Coleman had on the free jazz movement. Researchers will be able to peruse both dbryantmusic.com/third-thursdays and dbryantmusic.com/musician-interviews to further their investigation.
