Join us for an evening of education and fundraising for Lexington Historical Society’s collections. This year we will be highlighting the Munroe and Buckman Tavern ledgers and day books with a presentation by historian (and Lexington native) Dr. Serena Zabin.
Dr. Zabin will address the important role that taverns played in American history and the Revolution, as well as discuss the insight that ledgers can bring to scholars researching daily life in the colonial period. She is currently completing a book entitled An Intimate History of the Boston Massacre.
This exciting evening is your chance to support the Historical Society by sponsoring the conservation of these items. Refreshments will be served. $25 per person. The entire cost of admission supports the Society’s conservation efforts. Space is limited and advanced reservations are appreciated.
