We invite you to come along as we rewind to a time of TV static and standard definition. Join us for a unique cinematic experience of bizarre found footage clips sourced from the depths of thrift store shelves. You will be confused, excited, and afraid as we take you on a perilous journey through the weird world of VHS.
Tristan and Maddie have been collecting VHS tapes since 2017 and have slowly amassed over 2,000 tapes between them. They started the VHS Oddities social media pages in 2023 to archive and share some of the most bizarre clips from their vast collection. Over the past year, their pages have seen remarkable growth and success: they were repeatedly featured on Stephen Colbert’s ‘After Midnight,’ interviewed for the ‘What’s Trending’ YouTube page, and earned over 40 million video views across their TikTok and Instagram profiles.
The VHS Oddities Clip Show showcases some of the best videos from the past year, including: “How to Spot Counterfeit Beanie Babies,” “Enter the Yo Zone,” and “Dancin’ Grannies.” From silly safety PSAs to chilling cult indoctrination tapes, these forgotten gems are a testament to the creativity and strangeness of the past.
