Join us January 16th to celebrate Everyday Boston's Story of Our Streets youth program. See our young people's work and experience interactive street curiosity stations. This event will be potluck style, so we invite you to represent your own street by cooking something or buying something from a restaurant on your street. (And please let us know if you plan to do that!)
The Story of Our Streets program, funded by Mass Humanities, brought 12 young Bostonians together from different parts of the city this fall to learn about how the streets we grow up on shape our life experiences and view of the world. After learning the history of certain streets in Boston, and reflecting on their own street, students picked a street to explore through interviews with residents as well as archival research. The weekend program was led by Everyday Boston, and supported by ENGAGE, Northeastern University, and a range of community advocates and artists.
