Loren Sokol just completed his MSW in Social Work and is the Housing Stability and Civic Engagement Specialist at La Colaborativa. Newly moved to Chelsea, Loren is excited about engaging with the community through art and music!
Clark Ave Productions is thrilled to collaborate with Loren to present his first live music performance in Chelsea. Loren will perform an evening of ballads that helped guide him through his coming of age. We also encourage anyone interested in singing with Loren to warm up your vocal cords as we will be inviting members of the audience to come up and perform with Loren.
Funds raised will go to support La Colaborativa Arts Programs!
This event is open to all ages. Doors at 7:30pm/Show at 8:00pm. Small plates and drinks available for purchase!

LOREN SOKOL BIO
Loren grew up in a family of musicians in South Florida where he first started playing guitar at the age of 12. At 18, he moved to Atlanta to study biopsychology at Oglethorpe University where he joined the theater and the University Singers. It was there that he found a love for the piano as it helped him navigate the most difficult parts of his life. After a semester in Ecuador to develop his skills, Loren returned to the States in his senior year to become the bass section leader, a member of the chamber choir, and the pianist in the school jazz band. In 2020, Loren moved to Boston to study social work at Boston University. Loren joined La Colaborativa later that year and fell in love with the Chelsea community. In 2022, Loren officially moved to Chelsea to better serve the community through clinical service and policy activism.
Music continues to inspire Loren throughout his greatest highs and most challenging lows. He hopes that he can someday integrate music into his therapeutic practices so that he can share music with the people he has come to care so deeply for. Loren has performed in over 7 languages but always finds his roots in Rock n Roll.

ABOUT LA COLABORATIVA
Founded in 1988, La Colaborativa is a steady, trusted, and fearless partner to Latinx immigrants in Greater Boston, with a focus on gateway cities and towns such as Chelsea, East Boston, Everett, Lynn, Revere, and Malden.
We work in partnership with Latinx immigrants to design and deliver an array of programs, initiatives, and community organizing campaigns that serve, protect, celebrate, and uplift our people. We focus on food and housing security, economic advancement, cultural celebration, and immigrant leadership that drives policy and systems changes that benefit our communities over the long-term.
We are a trusted resource for Massachusetts’ immigrant community, disseminating linguistically- and culturally-appropriate information and resources to some of the most vulnerable community members in the state, including newly-arrived immigrants, undocumented families, non-English speakers, and low-income tenants and workers.
