History comes alive when you step inside The Old State House Museum. Walk in the footsteps of Samuel Adams, John Hancock and John Adams as you explore the sight of many of the most important events of the American Revolution, from the Boston Massacre to the first announcement of the Declaration of Independence. You'll also encounter the stories of the ordinary people whose lives were turned upside-down by the Revolution, and come face-to-face with 18th-century life with the museum's collection of artifacts. Built in 1713 and preserved by The Bostonian Society, The Old State House is the oldest surviving public building in Boston, and a must-see for anyone interested in history.
