Boston’s fifteenth Music for Food season continues on Sunday, January 26th at 7:00 PM in New England Conservatory’s Williams Hall with an exciting program of works performed by world-class artists.

The concert, “The New World,” will feature music by Antonín Dvořák and Charles Ives. two musicians crucial to the development of an American sound in classical music. The evening will start with Dvořák’s tenth string quartet performed by Miriam Fried, Paul Biss, Nicholas Cords, and Yeesun Kim. Ives’s Piano Trio, brought to life by Lilit Hartunian, David Russell, and Stephen Drury, will come next. Finally, Kim Kashkashian and the Terra String Quartet will perform Dvořák’s String Quintet No. 3, which was composed in Iowa soon after the famous “American” string quartet. Don’t miss this special night! Admission to the concert is free with a suggested donation ($40/adult, $15/student), no tickets or RSVPs are necessary, and ALL proceeds will go to Women’s Lunch Place–a day shelter serving women experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty in the greater Boston area.
