“It was the kind of night that reassures classical music lovers that the art form will survive well into the future.” — Musical America
World-renowned master violinist Gil Shaham joins Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America – featuring America’s top youth orchestra musicians – on their 10th Anniversary Tour kick-off performance in the Concert Hall at Groton Hill, Groton Hill Music Center, on Saturday, July 13 at 7:30pm. Under the baton of Sir Andrew Davis, one of today’s most recognized and acclaimed conductors, this special concert event features Shaham on Barber’s Violin Concerto, a new piece by Valerie Coleman, and Berlioz’s wildly imaginative Symphonie fantastique.
