Don’t miss The Mikado - Gilbert & Sullivan’s comic operetta lampooning Victorian politics. Watch as the consequences of having unqualified politicians and buyable bureaucrats unfold with whit and banter. We have the common prisoner appointed dysfunctional Lord High Executioner who must cut his own head off before performing any other executions, the pompous bureaucrat who will do any service - no matter how degrading - for a price, and the benevolently delusional Mikado, who enacts laws and punishments that rain turmoil on the country.
