Dee Alexander has long been viewed as Chicago's leading and most original jazz vocalist. She covers the whole spectrum and does it all extremely well: from standards with lyrics that tell stories, to traditional scat singing, to more experimental work reflecting her membership in the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians. Her talents have been widely acclaimed throughout the world, but until now she has never performed in Boston.
Ms. Alexander will join Boston's Makanda Project for a program featuring her originals as well as pieces from the Makanda Project's repertoire.
There will be two shows, at 7:00 and 8:30. Reservations are recommended. Visit https://makandaproject.com/upcoming-performances/ for information on reservations.
