The Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam and Slam is an award-winning weekly feature of The Lizard Lounge located at 1667 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge MA. The Jam and Slam happen every Sunday night at 7:30 pm and hosted by Joyce Cunha, Art Collins, Clarissa Monét and Jeff Robinson. There’s an $8 cover charge at the door, and you must be 21 years old or older to enter the venue.


A featured poet, sometimes of national prominence, performs each week, and The Jeff Robinson Trio, a jazz collective comprised of three of Boston’s most well-known and heralded musicians, lay down the musical foundation for spoken word performances that have made this event a must-see for more than 20 years. If you are local to the Boston area or visiting for the very first time, you owe it to yourself to check out this amazing night — you will never think of live poetry in quite the same way again.
