Haiku is a short poem of direct experience that connects us more deeply with the natural world. We will learn about haiku, including its history, form, and structure, and read about many famous autumn haiku. Then, we will move to writing haiku using easy writing prompts and conclude the course by making small paper accordion books for our selected haiku. All are invited to this supportive and fun course. Each participant will receive a free copy of the instructor's latest book, The Length of One Breath: Haiku Now, which presents ways to deepen our experience of the small details of nature around us. Soon, you will be seeing haiku moments everywhere. Instructor: Jeanne Martin
