The world-famous Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) returns to Boston this fall, bringing together thousands of athletes, spectators, and rowing enthusiasts for a weekend of thrilling competition. From October 18-20, 2024, rowers from across the globe will race along the iconic Charles River, navigating its challenging twists and turns in a test of endurance and skill. The event features races for all levels, from high school teams to elite rowers, making it a must-see spectacle for fans of the sport.
This annual regatta has become much more than just a rowing competition—it's a celebration of community, sportsmanship, and autumn in New England. Spectators can enjoy a front-row view of the action from various vantage points along the river, including the famous Eliot Bridge and Weeks Footbridge. With a vibrant atmosphere filled with food, festivities, and local vendors, HOCR 2024 offers something for everyone.
