The third annual Greater Roxbury Book Fair, celebrating a love of books and reading and championing local authors, returns in 2025 on Saturday, May 17th from 9am to 5pm at the Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library. 


The Greater Roxbury Book Fair’s third annual event connects books and readers – and authors and artists and readers – in the Greater Roxbury community, and inspires new excitement and broader readership. Springing from the Roxbury community's deep connections to books and reading, the fair features local and aspiring authors – and showcases the creativity of the residents of Greater Roxbury.


The Fair will spotlight local and BIPOC authors from the Greater Roxbury area and beyond. It will have panels, workshops, local author and literary organization exhibitors. Featured authors include Autumn Allen (All You Have to Do), Lisa Braxton-Reid (Dancing Between the Raindrops), Terry E. Carter (Brown Skin and the Brilliant Sun), Candelaria Collins (Jump, Jump, Jump Stacy), Mwalim DaPhunkee (Land of the Black Squirrels), Carmen Fields (Going Back to T-Town), Valerie Foxx (Our Love Story), Nikki Greene (Grime, Glitter, and Glass), Jannie Ho (The Lost Mitten), Régine Michelle Jean-Charles (Looking for Other Worlds), Tiffany Jewell (This Book is Anti-Racist), Kaija Langley (A Century for Caroline), Lori Lobenstine (The Barking Puppy) Shaina Lu (Noodle and Bao), Crystal Maldonado (Get Real, Chloe Torres), Omo Moses (The White Peril), Hannah Moushabeck (Homeland), Ray Anthony Shepard (A Long Time Coming), Lisa Stringfellow (Kingdom of Dust), Susan Tan (Pets Rule), and Mia Wenjen (The Traveling Taco).
