Formerly of Waltham, author Marcy McCreary's first book, The Disappearance of Trudy Solomon, stars detective Susan Ford who works to solve a murder from 1978 when skeletal remains are found near the site of a former Catskills hotel.

In the 1970s, Stanley and Rachel Roth are third generation owners of the Cuttman Hotel in the Catskills, in the waning days of the Borscht Belt resort era. Glamorous Rachel, successful Stanley, and their four beautiful children are respected in the community. Or so it seemed.

Fast forward forty years when skeletal remains are found on the side of the road and a 1978 missing persons case of a waitress who worked at the Cuttman is reopened. Detective Susan Ford must face a family she had hoped to never see again. In addition to the Catskills, Ford's investigation takes place in Massachusetts, including Waltham. This mystery will have you guessing who did what to whom until the bitter end.
