The Collective is a Boston based jazz fusion band. The sound is heavily based in improvisation and jazz but also draws form influences in the hip-hop, soul and R&B world. The band was originally founded by bassist Yogi Saint-Louis wile he was attending the Berklee College of music. The rest of the band came together soon after, and has featured a number of musicians and styles from all around the world including Indonesia, the Bahamas, Spain and many more geographical inspirations over the past few years. The band features: Seba Molnar - sax, Jens Sweeting - keys, Yogi Saint-Louis - bass, Ryan Scalia - drums & Sam Walukouw - percussion.
The Herter Park Amphitheater is a 350-seat outdoor venue, with an additional 200 lawn seats, located in Christian A. Herter Park along the Charles River in Allston. Seating is general admission. Venue is wheelchair accessible. Portable restrooms onsite. Plenty of seating. Plenty of FREE parking! This event is FREE. All ages welcome. No reservations required.
