September is about to get a whole lot sweeter because we’re pairing decadent chocolates with fine wines at
The SoWa Power Station. This chocolate & wine tasting experience will take place during SoWa’s weekly Open Market from 2-4pm on Sunday 9/16.
We’ll be offering flights full of wine and chocolate to your delight all afternoon. While you’re in a chocolate trance, professional chocolatier of Tipsy Chocolates,
Anne Wright, will be your go-to gal when it comes to all things cacao. Join Anne at her "sensory experience" station, where you'll learn how your senses enhance your experience with chocolate.
You’ll receive 15 wine tasting tickets to sample 6 wines that pair with the featured chocolate, such as the Hope family's
Treana Cabernet, or the sustainably-grown
Artezin Zinfandel. All wines will be via
Martignetti Companies, the leading distributor of wines & spirits in New England and the seventh largest distributor in the United States.
Kathryn McTyre will be your wine guide for completing a perfect pair of sips and sweets. McTyre is a public relations specialist in Boston who developed a special interest in the wine community while traveling to five continents (and counting).
Other wines that will be featured at this experience include...
•
The Chocolate Block
•
The Otima 10 Year Tawny Port
•
Charles & Charles Rose
•
La Bargemone Rouge
To satisfy your sweet tooth, we’ll be featuring endless chocolate from the following companies:
•
Flour Bakery
•
Taza Chocolate
•
Valdez Cacao
•
Celebrated Plant-Based Desserts
•
Aura's Chocolate Bar
•
Pure7 Chocolate
•

With all this being said, chocolate + wine is sure to equal a damn good time. Start planning out your Sunday best because this is an event you won’t want to miss!
