Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager
Do you know Boston inside-out, upside down, and like the back of your hand? Have a sixth sense for where a pop-up’s going to pop up before it pops up? Thousands of users turn to the Joyraft and The Boston Calendar platform each day because we do! If you love being in the know and spreading the word about everything happening in Boston, we want you on our team.
We are looking for a growth marketer who can leverage our content to work their magic across the web, our app and our social channels. We are looking to grow our audience and continue to retain our users. If this sounds up your alley, keep reading.
Let’s get down to details.
Here’s what you’d do…
- Create content for our social channels @joyraft and @thebostoncal - whether it’s our first to know scoops, content for our advertising partners or our famous giveaways
- Own our social calendar and work with our content team to make sure the cities hottest happenings are on our platform
- Lead user acquisition strategy through digital marketing tactics and continually evolve based on learnings
- Obsess over retention data and make sure our users are continually coming back to joyraft using notifications and other tactics
- Own audience communications and community management across channels
- Build relationships with content partners and other creators
- Provide input into our app and website development
Here’s what we’d like…
- A proven affinity & talent for social media
- Communication / journalism / marketing / PR degree
- Strong writing skills
- Background in social media and/or copywriting
- An independent worker who is a quick learner
- Analytical skills to evaluate success of efforts
- Experience growing a product, platform or userbase is a plus
- Someone who is in the know about Boston and is already going to events all around the city
- Someone who is a fan of our platform already!
This is a full time, hybrid role in Boston. Our team works out of our Cambridge office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have a generous PTO schedule and healthcare benefits.
