Join the Somerville High School SHS Local History Club as they share their experience venturing into the basement and curating an exhibit using the Museum's collection.
The students will provide insight into the objects they selected and how they resonate with them as young Somerville residents today, while also sharing what they learnt about history, museums, their city, and themselves.
Admission $10. Museum members and SHS students free.

About The Basement Project
This project welcomes students from the local history club into the Somerville Museum’s historic collection, which began in 1897. The exhibit showcases the historical objects with which the students personally connect and demonstrates how the Somerville of the past resonates with young residents of the present day.
