About the production
With the consciousness of dub poetry and the power of devotional roots, the Akwerian Project is an acoustic reggae jazz ensemble based in Boston, MA. The band is the fruit of longstanding collaborations between poet/musician kwe with production duo Circadian Riddims and Ken Field from the Revolutionary Snake Ensemble. Grounded in Afro beat rhythms, the Akwerian dub sound interlaces saxophone, acoustic guitar and melodica over deep bass grooves.
