Swing into Summer at the Larcom with Beverly’s own The Avocates, Swing Jazz Band with live orchestra. The Avocates have been getting toes tapping continuously since 1965. Listen to the Big Band charts from the Standards of WWII to jazz arrangements of popular songs today. Sets will feature sultry vocals from Bethany Vahn, pumped up percussion from Berklee Emeritus, Bob Myers, accompanied by a 18-piece orchestra that will play their hearts out for you. Get your jazz hat on and come on down! “If you have to ask what jazz is, you’ll never know.”– Louis Armstrong​Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes with intermission
