Professor Matthew Loscalzo will discuss what we can do today to manage distress, end the collusion of silence, and find deep meaning in actual and anticipated loss.
Loss and grief are universal and inevitable, yet these emotionally charged life experiences are usually met with a collusion of silence between those who suffer and those around them who might like to help. For older adults, these losses are more than the illness or death of a loved one. They include the loss of a job, a career, a role or a sense of well-being. Regrets and the accumulation of losses can be overwhelming. But we also have lessons learned, some hard earned, that can be a source of strength for ourselves, and, if shared, for others.
This program presented in partnership with Beacon Hill Village as part of their Living Well Ending Well series will happen over Zoom webinar. Registration required. Please visit this link to register. Registrants will receive a link the day before the program.
