OrigiNation Cultural Arts Center presents Tafuta! A Young Child's Search for the True Meaning of Kwanzaa, an uplifting musical theater production written and directed by OrigiNation’s Founding Artistic Director and renowned choreographer, Shaumba Yandje Dibinga. This high-energy show brings the principles of Kwanzaa to life, educating and inspiring the school community about this vibrant and meaningful celebration in the African American community.
Featuring dynamic performances by students from Boston Public, Charter, and Private Schools, along with talented adult actors and members of OrigiNation, Tafuta! blends dance, monologues, and special guests into a heartwarming experience for the whole family. With a cast of over 30 young people, the show promises to leave audiences entertained and excited, all while learning about the cultural significance of Kwanzaa in a fun and engaging way.
