Hailing from Oakland, California, the eclectic and sassy T Sisters, Erika, Rachel and Chloe Tietjen are known in the indie folk/Americana world for their dazzling, soulful harmonies and insightful lyrics. They are delighted to be returning to Cambridge, MA as part of a 30-city U.S. tour to kick off the release of their new EP 'We Are Bound,' produced in Nashville by Oliver Wood of the Grammy Award-nominated band The Wood Brothers. With their inimitable three-part harmony, the T's , as they're affectionately known by friends and fans- Erika, Rachel and Chloe Tietjen - showcase a fluid, expressive sound and musical chemistry that only close family can create.
Spotify is currently streaming 'We Are Bound,' the T Sisters' sixth recording project, which explores the themes of divisions in our society, authority, spiritual renewal, and activism through music.
The T's grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, raised by parents who were both involved in music, theater and dance. The trio self-accompanies on guitar, banjo and drums, and sometimes performs with a full backing band. In the last few years, they've supported acts including The Indigo Girls, Amos Lee and The Wood Brothers. Notable performances include Outside Lands, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Merlefest Album Hour, High Sierra Music Festival, Americana Music Association Festival, Music City Roots, Garrison Keillor's 'A Prairie Home Companion' and twice singing the National Anthem at AT&T Park. They recently were chosen by the State Department as cultural ambassadors to the Middle East and North Africa.
They are so excited to return to Club Passim on Wednesday, July 24th at 8pm.
