Filled with warm humor and tremendous heart, Lynn Nottage's Putlizer Prize-winning play, SWEAT tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets, and laughs while working together on the factory floor. But when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust, the friends find themselves pitted against each other in a heart-wrenching fight to stay afloat.
Running February 10 - 24, on Fridays and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday matinees at 2pm, Sweat looks at a tight-knit community of friends and family are torn apart by economic and racial tensions that emerge during the great recession of the early 21st Century in the industrial, mid-sized city of Reading, PA.
