Catch a Friday evening sunset from the summits of Welch and Dickey. This loop is 4.1 miles long and is rated as moderate. It should take 3-3.5 hours to complete, depending on how long we stay at the summits. We will hit the trail by 4:30pm. This will give us enough time make it to Dickey for sunset, which is at 6:54pm.


Obviously, we will be descending in the dark so headlamps are mandatory. Bring full winter clothing and gear. Non-cotton layers, insulated boots, rain/wind shell, microspikes or crampons, mountaineering snowshoes, and headlamps with extra batteries. Bring plenty of food and water and have a way to prevent it from freezing.
