Haiku is a short nature poem of the present moment, of direct, immediate experience. We will learn about haiku: its history, form, and structure, and read many haiku, both famous and not so famous. We will write haiku using easy prompts in this fun and supportive workshop atmosphere. The focus here is summer nature images of sunlight, moonlight, beaches, birds, seashells, ponds, forest walks, and other themes offered by participants. Students will receive the instructor's most recent book, Speed of Light, published in April 2021, and a small writing notebook. Instructor: Jeanne Martin
This class will meet in-person at CCAE. Please view our In-Person Class Guidelines prior to enrolling.
