Join us on Thursday, July 25, 7–9 PM, for the first of two Summer Residency Program critiques! Meet the residents: Jeffrey Nowlin, Emily Manning-Mingle, Jack Milligan, and Jamison Cloud; see what they have been making; and, be involved in the critique! This event is free and open to the public.
Each summer, Gallery 263 offers our 700-square foot space to four artists who transform the gallery into their workspace for seven weeks. We strive to give the local Boston and Cambridge community a stake in the process, not just the product, of art making. From mural painting to textile arts, mold making to photography, installation to community projects — our Artist Residencies have drawn passionate artists of all media to share the space at 263 Pearl Street. The seven-week residency period includes two publicly held critiques throughout the time the artists are here, allowing them to gain new insight into their works in progress. It ends with a week-long exhibition with an opening reception, showcasing their efforts to the community.
Residency Dates: July 8 – August 17
Exhibition: August 21 – August 24
Reception: Friday, August 23, 7-9PM
Public Critiques: Thursday, July 25, 7-9PM; Tuesday, August 13, 7-9PM
