Join Fruitlands Museum for an incredible night of Afropop with the 8-piece ensemble, Koliba.
Koliba Afropop is led by Mohammad Kalifa Kamara of West Africa. The band blends styles of Africa with contemporary American and European sounds. They have performed at First Nights in Boston, Worcester, Providence, Westerly, and at the Peabody Essex Museum, Boston Arts Festival and Cambridge River Festival.
Bandleader Mohammad – a drummer, dancer, and singer – is a charismatic performer and former Artistic Director of African Ballet of Gambia. Mohammad has performed extensively throughout Africa, Europe, and the US.
The Concert begins at 7pm. Gates Open 6pm.
This Summer Concert is presented under the Fruitands Event Tent.
At our Summer concerts, friendly dogs are welcome to join and must be kept on a leash at all times. Please be prepared to pick up after your dog.
No outside alcohol is permitted. The Fruitlands Café will be selling beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
