Sullivan’s at Castle Island Reopens for Its 74th Season as a James Beard Award Winner


A longtime Boston favorite, Sully’s has been serving hot dogs, lobster rolls, and fries (some of which inevitably end up with seagulls) since 1951. The James Beard Foundation grants the America’s Classics Award to restaurants that have been community staples for at least a decade, and this year, Sully’s earned the honor for the Northeast region.


For many Bostonians, its seasonal reopening is a sure sign that spring has arrived.
