Join Convergence Ensemble for an enchanting program of music for violin, viola, and cello – Classic, Exotic, Moody, and Rhapsodic. This performance features lesser-known works combined with classics from the trio literature and includes music by two African-American composers, two female composers, & three living composers combined with two well-loved staples from the chamber music repertoire.

Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson – Movement for String Trio

Ludwig van Beethoven – String Trio in E-flat, Op. 3

Sarah Dubois – Perduto Senza Lei (solo viola)

John Steinmetz – Lament (Chaccone) (solo viola)

Jessie Montgomery – Rhapsody No. 1 (solo violin)

Ernst von Dohnányi – Serenade (string trio)



This wonderful music will be performed by:


Francesca Anderegg, violinist, has been hailed by the New York Times for her “rich tone” and “virtuosic panache,” and delivers insightful accounts of contemporary and classical music. 


Michelle LaCourse, violist, is an active soloist and chamber musician, has appeared on four continents, including recent performances in France, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Brazil, China, and South Korea, and in many parts of the USA.


Hyun-Ji Kwon, cellist, currently maintains an active schedule as soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree at Ewha Women’s University in Seoul, Korea; Master of Music and Graduate Diploma at New England Conservatory in Boston; Doctor of Musical Arts at Boston University, in the studio of Rhonda Rider.

Where possible, a donation of $15.00 per ticket would be graciously accepted.

10 minutes walk from Uphams Corner MBTA Commuter Rail stop, 20 minute walk from Savin Hill Red Line MBTA stop. Also served by buses 15, 16, 17, 41



Parking


There is a free parking lot at the corner of Cushing Ave and Columbia Rd. Parking is first come first serve. There is a public parking lot on Ramsey Street at the intersection of Dudley Street and Columbia Road, behind CVS Pharmacy.
