Join us on Saturday, 1/25 from 4-7 pm for Storytime: Removable Lives, a performance by R. Galvan and Magda León., as a part of our current exhibition Transition of Power: 2025. The performance will engage the question "why did you come to the United States" through a staged theatrical question-and-answer scene between a passport control agent and an unaccompanied child. This performance reveals the subtle mechanisms through which power exerts control, and the narratives that persist despite efforts to silence them.
The performance will begin around 4:20 pm. Following the performance we will hold a discussion with the other artists featured in Transition of Power: 2025. There will be time afterwards to meet and chat with the artists, as well as refreshments.
