Just in time for Cape Cod’s infamously busy Memorial Day Weekend traffic, Stop & Shop is giving away its unique spin on the charcuterie board to travelers crossing the Sagamore Bridge. Featured snacks include meats & cheeses from Boar’s Head and bread from Hyannis-based Pain D’Avignon.
Ideal for on-the-go snacking and sharing, Stop & Shop’s CarCuterie board fits snugly into the center cup holder, transforming into a mobile charcuterie board for any vehicle. Each CarCuterie also includes two adjustable cup holders, allowing travelers to sip their favorite road trip beverages while snacking in style.
To score one of the limited-edition creations, travelers will need to brave one of the most challenging traffic jams of the year – Memorial Day Weekend travel in Massachusetts’ Cape Cod region. Starting at 11 AM on Thursday, May 25, Stop & Shop will be giving away free CarCuterie boards to travelers who make a pitstop at the Cape Cod Canal Region Visitors Center, located at 1 Meetinghouse Lane in Sagamore Beach (at Junction-Route 3, 3A & Sagamore Bridge), while supplies last. Holiday weekend travelers eager for the snacking solution should look for the Stop & Shop branded food truck to score a CarCuterie plus accompanying snacks and treats. Supplies are limited, and the CarCuterie boards will not be sold in Stop & Shop stores.
Stop & Shop is teaming up with Boar’s Head and Hyannis-based Pain D’Avignon to curate each CarCuterie with crave-worthy accoutrements. Each board will be carefully stacked with an array of charcuterie staples and Cape Cod-inspired snacks to satisfy every sweet, salty, and carb craving, including:
The grocer will also be offering up its fan-favorite Stop & Shop brand seltzer waters to keep travelers hydrated throughout their journeys.
“At Stop & Shop, we’re focused on helping our shoppers feed every moment –and that includes their holiday weekend away. We know our customers have quite a long journey to get to the Cape, and we want to make that trip easier and tastier by providing them with a new way of snacking on-the-go,” said Gordon Reid, President of Stop & Shop. “Once they make it across the bridge, we hope New England travelers will choose us as their one-stop shop for all their holiday, road trip, and summer grilling needs.”
Cape Cod visitors and residents alike eager to get their hands on these snacking staples, plus thousands of other grocery must-haves, can also visit Stop & Shop’s 17 locations across Cape Cod and the Islands. To learn more, find a local store, or start stocking up on snacks, visit StopAndShop.com.
