Oktoberfest season is here and City Tap House in Fort Point has planned the perfect occasion to pull out the dirndls and lederhosen for a beer-soaked occasion celebrating all-things Deutschland. On October 5, toast your friends during this volksfest which will transform City Tap’s patio into a full German biergarten mirroring Theresienwiese complete with polka music, stein-hoisting competitions as well as plenty of Oktoberfest brews served in steins. Those up for dominating a traditional strength and mental battle should start training because there will be a trio of men’s and women’s stein-hoisting competitions where the last person standing will win Sam Adams swag and City Tap gift cards, and of course a huge amount of pride.

 

Pair your beer with one of City Tap’s food specials including the Best of the Wurst German sausage sampler with sauerkraut, pickled beets, mustard and baguettes ($18) and the Bavarian Twist, a giant soft pretzel with beer-cheddar and mustard dipping sauces ($16).
