For the past 6 weeks we have all looked for ways to cope in crisis — reading, music, cooking, walking, connecting. But what about play? How do we inject moments of playful joy into our lives to stay creative, curious, and connected? Release tension and lower anxiety?
Join Ross Cidlowski, Director of Strategy at Lego, to hear how people are turning to something as simple as play to find inspiration amidst the chaos.
Ross is currently the Director of Strategy, Americas for the LEGO Agency. He’s focused on creating strategic value at the intersections of culture, consumption, and content. He has 17+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams to grow brands with strategic rigor while delivering measurable results for Google, Nike, ESPN, Gatorade, Diageo, Bacardi, Pepsico, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and Nickelodeon among others.
In the name of good work he’s driven a coffee truck across New England - relaunched a beer brand using consumer sketches and tabloids – impersonated new employees to improve global onboarding for a search giant - built a luxury French cookie brand from scratch - flew at trapeze school to research the emotion of wonder - constructed a sensory lab for beverage ideation - and sampled hundreds of prototypes to build the ultimate candy bar.
Ross’s experience is split across San Francisco, New York, and Boston; including time at Hill Holliday, Modernista!, Y&R, and Redscout. His work has garnered merit at Cannes, ARF, One Show, Clio, Shorty, and the Webby awards among others.
Ross is the father of two imaginative little girls, a die-hard UNC basketball junkie, addicted surfer, and recovering sneakerhead.
