Chair:
Roger Petersen is the Arthur and Ruth Sloan Professor of Political Science at MIT. He specializes in civil war; war; violence; conflict; Iraq; social science; and emotions.
Panelists:
Congressman Seth Moulton, US Representative for Massachusetts's 6th congressional district. He is vice chair of the Budget Committee and also sits on the House Armed Services Committee and its subcommittees on Seapower and Projection Forces as well as Strategic Forces.
Risa Brooks, is the Allis Chalmers Associate Professor of Political Science, Marquette University. Her research focuses on issues related to American and comparative civil-military relations, military effectiveness, and militant & terrorist organizations
James E Baker is the director of Syracuse University’s Institute for Security Policy and Law. He is a former Marine infantry officer, legal adviser to the National Security Council and chief judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
