Weekly Comedy Contest at the Burren


Every Wednesday at 10pm, the back room of The Burren Irish Pub is the place to see a mix of comics ranging from first timers to national headliners. It’s a no-cover, low-stakes hang where amateurs from far and wide compete for a $50 cash prize while veterans of the scene stop by to try new material on one of Boston comedy’s favorite stages. Did we mention there’s no cover?


The contest winner is decided by audience reaction, so drop in, grab a brew, and support local arts. Or just feel it out. We’re not telling you what to do.
