Did you say flowers and cheese? In this sensory-focused class at Curio Spice, you’ll experience the art of pairing sumptuous spring cheeses with floral-inspired spice blends to get out of the winter slump. Hello spring picnics and Easter brunch entertaining! This class will be co-taught by Marisa Cataldo of Curds & Co and our lead recipe developer at Curio Spice, Susan Turner.
You'll get to make your very own hand-rolled log of chevre, decked out in your favorite spring spice, while enjoying a signature spiced spring drink (spirit-free) and learning all about cheese. Think about the delicate flavor of chamomile, or the beguiling scent of saffron. Marisa and Susan will walk you through the ins and outs of cheese and spice pairing, sharing expert tips and approachable techniques that you can take home with you.
Each participant will enjoy an in-class tasting and will go home with a complimentary spice blend along with the recipes demonstrated in class (plus some bonus recipes). You may also bring home cheeses if you choose to place a pre-order here on eventbrite.
Class price: $85 per person TICKET ONLY, $115 per person TICKET PLUS CHEESE BUNDLE
Date/Time: March 21st, 6-7:30pm

About your instructors:
Curds & Co is a woman owned, founded, and led cheese shop in the heart of Brookline, specializing in exciting and educational curation of all things delicious. Our goal since 2017 is to be the least intimidating cheese shop in the world, approaching fine food with excitement rather than exclusion. With a robust class calendar, bustling shop, and approachable staff, we enjoy bringing special flavors into the everyday lives of everyone who enters our space. We encourage playing with your food, asking questions, and enjoying what’s on your plate all the time.
Susan Turner, Curio Spice Lead Recipe Developer, Graphics & Education Manager heads our recipe development program, creating and testing delicious dishes — and feeding our team many, many cookies to get the ratios just right. She also coordinates our class offerings and directs our graphics program. Susan has been cooking since childhood and grew up in a family who gardened, cooked, canned, baked, and made things. She’s fussy about tomatoes and crazy about Kampot red long pepper.
