Spiga Ristorante introduces ‘Big Night Sundays’ with a special event in honor of
International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 8.
Each week beginning on Sunday, March 8, ‘Big Night Sundays’ will feature a different Sunday dinner with several courses crafted by Chef Marisa Iocco. The meals will evoke the values of a traditional family Sunday dinner. The first one will be offered on Sunday, March 8th for its kick-off event and will include appetizers, Timpano alla Big Night (the film), contorni (side dishes) and dessert. The Timpano will be Chef Iocco’s interpretation of the famous dish and will feature a drum of pasta filled with handmade gnocchi, Bolognese sauce, mozzarella, Parmigiano, hard boiled eggs, and peas – a labor of love. Also during the event, Chef Marisa Iocco will read from her memoir/cookbook and introduce her new business partner and longtime friend, Francesco Iacovitti, as they celebrate the new Sunday tradition at Spiga.
Reservations for the first Big Night Sunday event are $65 and each person will also receive a signed copy of Chef Iocco’s memoir/cookbook, Every Menu is a Love Story, as well as wine and the mouthwatering, authentic meal.
