W2K Art Space, in collaboration with Look Alive studio, proudly presents “Spectacle,” a constructed utopia – a dystopia that stands in the past but looks into future. In our immersive environment, you can release your animated spirit!
Idea of the event
French thinker Guy Debord intensified the word “spectacle” in his sociological book /La Société du Spectacle/ in 1967. “Spectacle" refers to a unique social relationship as the result of the tide of capitalism and consumerism.
In such a social pattern, an individual’s life is transformed into an accumulation of crushed desire. To break away from this predicament, we encourage citizens of our time to seek instantaneous incentive through the acts of creating and pioneering.
