Only three short years after the Stonewall Rebellion, gays and lesbians worked together to found the Gay Speakers Bureau in Boston in 1972 to share the stories of our community in order to open minds and change attitudes. And for the next five decades, SpeakOUT speakers have been continuing that tradition and expanding our inclusiveness of the rich and varied identities of our LGBTQ+ community.

Join us for SpeakOUT50, a night focused on the power of queer storytelling and 50 years of SpeakOUT’s sharing of LGBTQ+ stories to create change. We'll enjoy a cocktail atmosphere, a few speakers focusing on the power of LGBTQ+ stories, and an opportunity to honor our current and past members for their work to make our lives visible and valued. Support the work of the oldest LGBTQ+ speakers bureau in the nation by attending this celebratory anniversary event!
