Join us on April 8th as a spectacular astronomical event unfolds above Providence! Although Rhode Island won’t witness the full totality, we are looking forward to witnessing a 91% magnitude solar eclipse, offering a breathtaking glimpse into the wonders of our solar system.
The NASA Rhode Island Space Grant Consortium will be hosting a viewing event on the Main Green for Brown University and the local community, weather permitting.
Scientists and volunteers will be available to answer questions, set up sun spotters, and support your viewing experience. A limited number of eclipse glasses will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
