Singer-songwriter and music educator Shankar Mahadevan’s breakthrough came with his bestselling album Breathless, which held the no. 1 spot on all Indian music charts for over 10 weeks. Mahadevan has performed with many of India’s most famous artists including Louis Banks, Sivamani, Ranjit Barot, Taufiq, and Fazal Qureshi. He has also toured with John McLaughlin’s band Shakti, whose live recording earned a Grammy nomination.
Mahadevan will perform with the Berklee Indian Ensemble, bringing magic to the stage with a spirited and uplifting performance. The Berklee Indian Ensemble is world renowned through live performances in India and Boston, and its stunning YouTube videos, which have been viewed more than 20 million times. This concert is produced by Annette Philip and Clint Valladares, codirectors of the Berklee India Exchange.
