Do you have an old t-shirt or piece of fabric you don't know what to do with? Do you want to learn the basics of creating your own clothing?
Join Boston Makers and Fiber Arts Boston Resource and Innovation Center (FABRIC) for a special Boston Design Week event, Sew Your Own Upcycled Clothing.
Learn how to use found and repurposed fabrics to sew your own clothing! Participants in this workshop will learn how to turn pillowcases, t-shirts, and more into shift dresses, shorts, and other items. Upcycling is a way to express your own style in a sustainable way. Reuse, recycle, upcycle! Plus, you’ll get valuable hands-on sewing experience. Beginners and advanced sewists welcome. Two sessions to choose from with 8 students per session.
All registrants to this course will get a link to register for the Indigo Dyeing Course on April 14 with a $10 discount. (Subject to availability. Class sizes are limited.)
Please note the entrance is on Malden Street. This workshop has a morning and an afternoon session; this event is for the morning session.
