Take in Boston's vibrant street art and graffiti scenes with these self guided walking tours. Do one part of the tour of both for a full overview. See the map here.
Northeastern University and Mission Hill
This tour focuses on two different campuses- Northeastern University and the Tobin School. The walls come fast and furious, with the exception of the connection between Northeastern and the first wall at the Tobin which is a bit of a walk. The tour starts at the New England Conservatory on Huntington Ave (as it’s easy to locate) and ends at the Roxbury Crossing Orange Line station.
Mission Hill and Jamaica Plain
This tour focuses on murals visible from the street. You could do the whole thing in Street View. It takes in a couple of different Boston neighborhoods and focuses more on more traditional New York style graffiti. It begins at Roxbury Crossing T Station and ends in Hyde Square in Jamaica Plain.
Take a Public Tour with an Art Expert
We run public Boston Street Art and Graffiti tours every month or so during the warmer months. It’s a one and a half hour tour and it takes in more than a dozen or so pieces in and around Northeastern University. It’s a fun, informative couple of hours. We usually get an interesting group of people and the art itself is a treat. Check our Eventbrite listings for our upcoming schedule.
