Join Healthworks and Impact Boston in partnership with the Esplanade Association and the Department of Conservation and Recreation for our community self-defense class at the Hatch Shell on Tuesday, September 10th. Self-defense training provides integral skills to stay calm and focused in unsafe situations. Participants leave these classes feeling empowered, assertive, aware and supported.
We remain committed to helping to improve the safety and well-being of everyone in our community. This free class will cover:
- Conflict de-escalation
- Assertive communication
- Verbal self-defense strategies
- Physical self-protection skills
- Confident body language
- Awareness and avoidance of potentially dangerous situations
Check-ins and onsite registration begin at 5:30pm; class will start at 6:00pm. All are welcome!
Class is subject to photography. Please let the instructor know if you do not want to be photographed.
