In this workshop, we will come together to listen, affirm, and honor the ebbs and flows of our individual bodies and existence as a collective. It’s an act of self-care when being brave to share with others, and why not creatively thank yourself in a love letter?
About The Presenter: Noemi Saafyr Paz a.k.a. “Saafyr” a.k.a. Miss Pussy, originally from Boston, is a queer, black/indo-carribean expressive healing artist loving on communities through event hosting, spoken word poetry, rap, singing, dance, visual arts, sign language, and theater. She is currently becoming a certified sign language interpreter and using her communication skills in projects such as storytelling and advocacy. As Co-Director of Survivor Theatre Project, and founder of SOS: Sharing Our Stories she advocates for human rights and pleasure activism such as creatively ending sexual violence, healing with bodies, and reflecting with community for revolution. She is currently working on her second album called, SOS: So Saafyr and a three-city tour releasing by September 2020 while working on smaller art projects and writings along the way! She is beyond surviving; she is THRIVING!
The SOS: Radical Self-Love Letters workshop is part of Dunamis' Seeds of Joy initiative, made possible with support from The Boston Cultural Council and The Boston Foundation.
