Get a jump on the season by starting your plants from seeds -- it's cheaper than buying transplants, offers a much broader variety of plants, and can be quite addictive! Whether you are interested in annuals, perennials, edibles, or even shrubs and trees, this lecture will give you the information you need decide what to grow, and to go from a seed to a plant ready for the great outdoors!
This lecture is lead by Gretel Anspach, a Lifetime Master Gardener with the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association, a Trustee of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, and a recently-retired systems engineer for Raytheon. Gretel helped to establish and maintain two food production gardens that have provided fresh produce to the Marlboro Food Pantry for the last eight years.
This class is part of a new Wednesday evening winter workshop series offered at The Stevens-Coolidge Place.
Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
