Secret of the Sound is a three piece rock band from Holbrook, MA. The band formed in August 2013 and started writing songs over a period of 3 and a half months. The 12 songs written during that time became the band's first album "Gold Rush"; a combination of Classic, Punk and 90's Alternative Rock. The band members are Alec Verissimo (Lead Guitar and Lead Vocals), Brian DeStoop (Bass Guitar) and Matt DeStoop (Drums and Backing Vocals).


Secret of the Sound has played at numerous venues across the New England area, most notably at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA and has opened for national act Todd Carey multiple times. The band has been played on 95.9 WATD FM and performed on their radio show: "Almost Famous". The band is heavily influenced by "Green Day", "Foo Fighters", "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers" and "The Beatles".


During the first year of gigging, Secret of the Sound wrote numerous songs, songs that would eventually end up on their second album: "Broken Dreams". SOS starting recording on October 31st, 2014. They finished recording and production of the album a year later. The finished product was released to the public via soundcloud on November 19th, 2015. The album displays a very happy-sad tone and has an overall theme of failing relationships and emotional strain. The album has 12 tracks and 1 song didn't make the cut: "Supermarket Superhero". Throughout the duration of producing the album, Secret of the Sound has written numerous songs. You can purchase the album on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.
